For everyone
Accessibility Statement
A quiet café should be a comfortable one — online and in person. We want everyone to be able to use this website and enjoy the room at 121 Lee Road.
This website. It's built with semantic HTML, a logical heading structure, descriptive alt text on images, visible keyboard focus states, colour contrast that meets WCAG 2.1 AA for body text, and full keyboard navigation. Every animation on the site — steam, reveals, the rotating banner — respects your device's "reduce motion" setting and switches itself off.
Known limits. A small number of decorative images and the embedded Google Map may be less useful with a screen reader; the map is always paired with a written address and directions. We review the site regularly and fix issues as they're found.
The café itself. We'll happily bring your order to your table, read the specials aloud, and make space work for pushchairs, wheelchairs and assistance dogs — assistance dogs are always welcome. If there's something about the room that makes a visit harder for you, tell us and we'll do our best to sort it.
Tell us about barriers. If any part of this website or the café is difficult for you to use, email hello@thequietcup.co.uk with "Accessibility" in the subject line. We treat these messages as priority fixes, not feedback for the pile.
